"It ain't fittin'.....it just ain't fittin!!!"

Well, well, well....there's just something I HAVE to blog, here. Something I don't like - I don't think it's right - well, it just ISN'T right. And for those of you that happen on to this blog, and for those of you who purposely come here, I've got to say this and get it out in the universe. (pictured: Tim San Paolo AKA ~Martini @ Tiki Recording Studios, Glen Cove, Long Island NY)

Palma wrote the song LOVE ME FOR WHAT I AM.....NOT John Bettis. Richard Carpenter told me when I asked WHY Bettis was brought in, that he thought a few words from Palma's original lyrics didn't fit the way "HE" wanted the story to sound, so he "asked John Bettis to rewrite a few lines." Probably the only reason he did that was so Bettis would have his name on something else Carpenters did. Yes, I'm a HUGE fan of the Carpenters, but not the manner in which, now that I'm all growed-up, I understand how these types of things happen. Anyway, so Bettis changed a few lines...that's ALL.

So how come is it every time I "Google" LOVE ME FOR WHAT I AM, it comes up as being "written" by FIRST John Bettis and THEN Palma Pascale.

Okay, here's the rub for me. PALMA wrote the song, and the lyric - all except for some in the verses, and at that, some of THOSE words are hers. HERS!!!! The credits should NEVER have read John Bettis and Palma Pascale. They should ONLY ever read Palma Pascale and John Bettis, since that's how sharing credits are done....how the credits should REALLY read is: Palma Pascale (with a word or two changed by) John Bettis. :)

To quote Mammy from Gone With The Wind: "It ain't fittin' - it just ain't fittin'!" And that, as they say, is that!

Thanks for stopping by. More to come about the wonderful musical WHAT THE HELL NELL, very soon.

I wish you all the best!
